Essence @ Holografics.Com – Gagalectric

Hi,
I saw this Essence Lacquer on a special display at Ulta and I had to get one of these. They are not holographic they are iridescent lacquers but, not holos.

I selected one in a color that I really normally wouldn’t wear. I also was only going to buy 1 since they really weren’t holos. A big plus was the name Gagalectric, who doesn’t love Gaga?! In the bottle the lacquer looks like a lavendar with shimmer but, on it looks more like a light pink.

I like it and it looks nice on me but 1 thing that bothers me is that when I was about 8 my mother wore a color similar all the time that was made by Revlon for years and I can’t shake that it feels like I’m wearing my mother's boring lacquer!

It is a nice lacquer. What do you think holo or iridescent?

More Glitter! Lorac Sparkle Pencil: Midnight Sparkle

Hey All,
Yes I have another glitter liner but, this one can also be used as a eyeshadow! I have never used this brand before but when I saw this glitter pencil I just had to have it. This pencil comes in 3 colors; black, blue, and brown. When I found it they only had the black (midnight sparkle) left which is fine because I have olive skin tone and I can wear black easily everyday.

The first picture is how it would look as an eyeliner (one pass) and the others are as a shadow:

I really like this, I've used it as a liner and on my eyelid as shadow. I got a lot of complements about the sparkle when I wore it as shadow. I think maybe I will try the other colors. What sparkle do you wear on your eye?

I went to a birthday party Saturday and what did they have? Yes CUPCAKES!! MMMMMMMM, the one below is a pink champagne and it was really good!

Butter London HRH

Hey All,
Today is a first for me with this line of lacquer: Butter London. I don't usually buy such expensive lacquer but, there is so much buzz about it I had to get it.
One that I selected is HRH. It is a really bright purple. I call it a Prince Purple! It is very very gorgeous! It is a lovely bright purple with blue and red shimmer.
Lets go:

Butter London calls HRH a Proper Purple, I think it is a Royal Purple. Sorry my application is a little messy, I did this right before I went to bed and took the pictures later. I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was great not to thin or thick and it dried fairly quickly. I am glad I selected this one. Do you have it and what is your favorite purple?

Nicole By OPI Nicole's Nickel

Hey Lacquer Lovers,
Happy Friday! I have a Target exclusive lacquer for you Nicole's Nickel. It is a glitter. It has a shimmery light gray base with silver glitter and what is good about the glitter is that it isn't too large. This would be a nice lacquer to wear to a party.

Nicole's Nickel:

I do have to say I like this but, I did notice that my nails chipped after 1 day. I don't know why but that is my only complaint. I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. Do you like this one?

Zoya Kotori

Hi All,
Sorry I haven't been posting, had a personal issue to deal with.

Anyway moving on....I have Zoya's Kotori. It's the blue that I promised since I didn't have one for Blue Monday. It is a what I would call blue with bright blue flecks, a shimmer. Zoya calls it a sheer black base with a bright blue shimmer. I can see that kind of if I really stare at it on my nails and not at the bottle. I like the color. Zoya has it high on their Intensity Chart they say it's a 3 but, I think it is a lot more sheer than that.
Here we go:

I am wearing/had to put on 3 coats and I think I could have used one more. I also have 1 coat of top coat. I really think it is a pretty color but, I think it took way too many coats to get this saturation of color plus, as you can see I had it on for 2 hours before I took the pictures and it was already wearing away at the tips, look at my pinkie and you can really tell. It was completely dry too. I am afraid I don't rate this one very high. Do you have this one or would you buy it?

Orly Mineral FX: Rococo A Go Go

Hey All,
Sorry no Blue Monday today but, I will have a blue for you this week.

Today I have the last one in my collection of the Mineral FX collection: Rococo A Go Go. This is really a stunning lacquer! It's a dark red/mulberry color with a gold and red shimmer. It is beautiful. This is really a good Fall/Winter color. It is so rich.

Here it is:

It really has a glam rock feel to it and the name really works!

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 top coat. I give this one a 5 out of 5, I can find no problems with this one. How many of the Mineral FX collection did you or will you buy?

Milani Cosmetics Crystal Eyez Sparkling Eyeshadow And Some Yummy Cupcakes!

Hi Everybody!
It’s another glitter post! Milani Cosmetics is one of my faves with glitter makeup. Previously I posted a couple of their glitter eyeliners. Now I have Milani Sparkling Eye Shadow in Lovely and Luminous. This shadow matches the Orly Rock Solid lacquer! I am posting a picture below with the lacquer just for fun.

Here it is as it comes out of the tube:

Here's how it looks as eye shadow:

It is a very sheer shadow. It is for someone that doesn’t want a lot of color for eye shadow but, just wants some shimmer/glitter maybe for a daytime look. I wouldn't really call this "eye shadow" I would just call it a sheer eye glitter. It didn't flake off. It took a very long time to dry when used alone but, it did last all day. I did not use a base coat. The instructions say you can apply 2 coats for a more dramatic eye and I did but, it just made a mess, it was too hard to control. I did try it over an eye shadow and it worked really well. Still I like it. Have you tried it and do you like it?

Now on to the cupcakes!!

I had a birthday this week and I got some cupcakes! MMMMMMM. They did melt a little because it was very hot and I had to drive across town with them. Even a little melted they were so good!

Orly Mineral FX Part II? Orly Rock Solid

Hey All,
Sorry for the delay in the Part II of the Orly Mineral collection. I did post Stone Cold on Blue Monday last week so; I’m not doing too badly. After this one I will only have 1 more to post because I didn't get Rock It but maybe I will get it?

Today I have Rock Solid. This one is a shimmery charcoal gray with a holographic shimmer (looks like multicolored flecks of glitter). It’s actually a prismatic micro-shimmer because it flashes multi-colors and reflects light. WOW, this one is really hard to describe but let’s go with: its gorgeous!

Here it is:

This last one was taken with a flash so you can get a better look at the multi-colored flecks of glitter.

I could wear this every other week. It is glittery with the inside light or in the sun. It's nice everywhere. I really love this one! So far I'm really impressed with this collection.
As usual I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. Isn’t it addicting?
