Finger Paints Special Effects

Left to Right  Asylum, Flashy, Flecked, and Motley

Hi,

I heard about the finger paints special effects lacquer about 2 weeks ago and saw that they came out in January. Well, as soon as I heard I ran to my nearest Sally's Beauty Supply because they are famous for having stuff out early and guess what? They had just put it out on the shelf. I have had these for 2 weeks but, with the holidays I just didn't have the time to swatch them right away.

Special Effects come in 5 colors: Asylum, Flashy, Flecked, Motley, and Twisted. They recommend that you apply the Special Effects to their black lacquer- Black Expressionism as the base. I wasn't in the mood to wear black around Christmas time so I chose OPI Russian Navy.

Here it is:

Some call Special Effects or this type of lacquer flakies (jelly base with very fine opal particles in it) which are mostly used for layering.

I am wearing 2 coats of OPI Russian Navy and 2 coats of each Finger Paints Effect lacquer. My Favorite is the Twisted. I think these are going to be very hot so, run to Sally’s if you want any of them. What do you think? Do you love it?
