Cindy at The JourNail has given me The Liebster Award. Thank you Cindy! So nice of you to do that!

This award is for up and coming bloggers/blogs that have under 200 followers.

The rules for this award are:

So lets start with 11 thing about me:

1.  I don’t like ice cream! Yes its true. I don’t like milkshakes either. It doesn’t make me sick or anything, I can taste it or have a little if it is on a big hot fudge brownie but that’s it.
 

2.  I am the youngest of 5 kids. 
 

3.  I have a sewing machine and I wish I knew how to sew. I use it for hemming.
 

4.  My natural hair color is black. Right now it is black plum which looks black but in the sun you can see plum and I have 2 thick dark navy pieces in the front.
 

5.  I don’t tweet because I am afraid I will get addicted to it.
 

6.  All I wear are jeans and t-shirts
 

7.  If I lived in southern California , I would go to Disneyland a minimum of twice a month.
 

8.  I wont eat food people have prepared unless I know them well and have seen if their house is clean.
 

9.  I don't drink but occasionally I will have a glass of good champagne or a girlie sweet drink. 

10. I am so not a morning person! It takes me forever to wake up.  I am a night person!!

11.  I wont pay more than $8.00 for a bottle of polish!

1. What else would you blog about besides your current interest (e.g. polish, beauty, etc.)? I would like to think I could do a blog on cupcakes.

2. Where is the location of your dream vacation? Greece. I am half Greek and I haven’t been there yet.

3. What is your favorite time of year? Fall

4. Do you have any pets? Yes cats.

5. What is your favorite t.v. show? Right now Big Bang Theory.

6. What are you reading now? I'm not reading a book at this time but I subscribe to about 10 different magazines. None are gossip!

7. What is your favorite color polish to wear? Blue. I do love blue Mondays.

8. When you very little, what kind of career did you want? I wanted to own a clothing/accessory store.

9. Are you a movie goer or do you prefer to rent instead? I used to like to go as a kid but as an adult I don’t like to go because every time I do go I always get talkers, loud eaters, or people that have seen the movie before and ruin the movie by telling the people they are with what happens.

10.Do you have any phobias? Yes, a few. I prefer not to say, I don't want to think about it because I haven't freaked out about it in a long time, sorry.

11.Do you have a number limit as to how many bottles of polish you want to own or a cutoff limit to stop buying? I don’t have a limit/cutoff on how many bottles of polish but maybe I will cut back when it looks like I’m a hoarder ;0)

No Time For Postcards ~ OPI

 

Happy Friday,

No Time For Postcards was part of the OPI Ulta Summer Exclusives for 2012 that all appeared to be dupes. Some think this one is a dupe of Not Like The Movies but I think it’s a dupe of OPI’s Let Me Entertain You, all 3 really could be dupes. Any way you look at it, it is gorgeous!

This is a shimmery magenta. I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was great and it dried quickly. I really love this color but I am a little irritated that I already had this color! Don’t you just hate dupes by the same company?

Just Spotted The Lizard~ OPI

Hi,

Just Spotted The Lizard is from the Amazing Spider Man collection. It is a gold/green metallic duo chrome. It is very pretty and shimmery!

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was really nice, it went on smoothly. One thing is that it looks greener in the bottle but on it is more gold. It is so pretty and shimmery! What is your favorite duo chrome?

Chelsea Girl ~ Color Club ~ Blue Monday

Hellooo,

It Blue Monday again! YAY! Chelsea Girl is another neon from the Poptasic collection. It’s a bright blue but I don’t know if it’s really a neon but I don’t care because I love it! I would call it a blue jelly.

Here it is:

I am wearing 3 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was nice and it dried quickly. It dries a matte finish without top coat. I really like this one. Do you consider this one a neon?

Mrs. Robinson ~ Neon ~ Color Club

Yay its Friday! Today I have another neon lacquer. I have been so addicted to neons this summer. Mrs. Robinson is a bright purple crème that dries matte but it’s really shiny with a top coat.

Take a look:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it dried quickly. I really like it but I think there have been some like it. One that comes to mind is Nina Pro’s Punki Purple. I went to compare the two and found that mine dried out! I like this one so much that it may go on my top 10 list for 2012. Do you want this one or do you have one that is similar?

Plastic Wrap Manicure ~ Blue and Yellow

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven’t posted for a week but it has been hectic. My sister is seriously ill, has had 3 surgeriesin a row, and has been in the hospital for over a month. My focus has been with her but she is finally getting better. I will try to post more than once this week.

I really want to get better with nail art but I have to say it’s a challenge for me! Has anyone ever done a plastic wrap manicure? This one looked like one I could do so I gave it a try. If you don’t know, all you do is:

1.  Paint your nails with one color and let it dry.

2.  Then paint your nails with another color.

3.  Before it dries take a small 2 inch piece of plastic wrap that is bunched up and dab it all over the polish to make your design.

See:

I used Orly’s Shockwave and Glow Stick. It looks like tie dye. I think the next time I will dab it more to get a better tie dye look. Also the blue and yellow made the polish look green in spots. Have you tried the plastic wrap mani?

Indigo ~ Jessica~ Blue Monday

Hi,

It’s Blue Monday again! This time I have a lacquer brand that I have never tried before Jessica. Why haven’t I tried it? I don’t know! Indigo is a blue shimmer but I would call it a cobalt blue. It is really pretty!

I am wearing 2 coats and one coat of top coat. The formula was really great. It glided on easily and dried quickly. It had a lot of shine. I was disappointed that after one day it was wearing away slightly on the tips and sides of my nails! Maybe it was my fault? I bought more than 1 bottle of Jessica so hopefully it won’t happen on the next lacquer. Have you worn Jessica?

Beach Cruiser ~ Orly

Hi Everybody,

Beach Cruiser is from Orly’s Feel The Vibe Collection and the last one I have to share in this collection.  Beach Cruiser is a bright pink crème, I wouldn’t say neon though.

Here it is:

I am wearing 3 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was a little thick. I applied one coat and it was so thick that I had put some lacquer thinner in it. The 2^nd coat was better but it was streaking a little so I had to do another coat. I really do like this but I think it’s been done many times before. I picked this one out because I thought it would be more of a neon. Do you have this one or do you have one that’s a dupe?

Meg ~ Zoya

Hello All,

Zoya’s Meg is from their Surf collection for summer 2012.  Meg is a spring green base with gold and silver micro shimmer that looks almost like a foil.

Take a Look:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. It went on nicely and dried very quickly. It’s very shiny.  I like this one but I am not really wowed with it like I thought I would be when I ordered it. I thought it was a little boring. Maybe it just didn’t go with my skin tone. What do you think, is it a hit or a miss?
