High On Hope ~ Orly ~ Blue Monday

 

Hi,

It’s Blue Monday! Orly’s High On Hope is a blue base duo chrome with pink and purple shimmer. You can also see a little gold when you move your hand.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it could have dried a little quicker for me. It also wore away quickly on my tips. I don’t know I like this and it has good shine but I thought it would be more wow than it is! What do you think, is this wow?

I’m in a purple mood today. This one is a purple base shimmer with blue and red flecks. It’s very pretty.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it dried quickly. This is from a fall collection but I think it would be good for summer too. Is this too “fall”  to wear now?

Cabana Boy ~ Julie G ~ Blue Monday

 

Hi,

It’s Blue Monday!! Today I have a polish from the Jesse’s Girl/Julie G collection called Cabana Boy. This is a bright blue crème. I would say a cobalt blue. I think this should be on the top 10 of 2013 list.

Wild Cactus ~ Color Club

Hey Everyone,

As you know Color Club is one of my favorite lacquers so I’m sharing another one today. This one is from the Fiesta Collection.

I would describe this one as a bright green turquoise.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. It dried pretty fast. I really like this cream. I think this would be good used in nail art.

Gift Of Sparkle ~ Color Club ~ Blue Monday

 

Hi,

Yay its Blue Monday!! I really like Color Club so today I have Gift Of Sparkle. I know it’s from the holiday collection but I would wear this year round.

It’s a blue base with silver and blue shimmer. This one is also scented. It smells like vanilla but its not overpowering. Its hard to notice the smell after a day.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. I just love this color. The shimmer is out of control!! I wore it for a week and hated to take it off. Is this one too holiday or would you wear it all year round?

About the unplanned Blog Break

Sorry for being MIA for a couple of months.  While I was gone I never once stopped loving nail polish or my blog!!

I wrote last September that my sister was very ill. Sadly when it became clear in December that she wouldn’t make it, I had to spend every minute I could with her which unfortunately meant Lacquer Nirvana was neglected.

I don’t want this to be a sad post/blog so I will now continue to share my love of lacquer, cupcakes, and glitter in her honor, she loved them too!

I am still getting used to my new camera! This polish was one of her favorites!

Golden Eye is a clear base with small shimmery gold glitter! It almost looks like a foil. So gorgeous!!

It was a little hard to get a good pic of this because of all the glitter and working with a new camera. I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. I really love this! It is so shimmery and glittery. I would wear this one year round.
