Shockwave ~ Orly ~ Blue Monday

Hi,

It’s Blue Monday again! This one is from the Electronica Collection. I only bought 2 from this collection, Preamp and Shockwave. Shockwave is a shiny royal blue crème. It is very pretty.

Take A Look:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. This formula was great and it glided on. It dried quickly. This is a really good lacquer for back to school or for the fall. I was trying to find a lacquer in my collection that was similar but I couldn’t. Do you want Shockwave or have you seen a dupe for it?

Sparkle And Soar ~ Color Club

I have the last one that I bought from Color Club’s Take Wing Collection; Sparkle And Soar. It’s a bright orange base with gold micro shimmer. It's bright and shiny!

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it dried quickly. This one really reminds me of summer maybe because it’s a popsicle color with gold shimmer? What is your favorite color so far this summer?

Hi Everyone!

Electronica is Orly’s back to school collection for 2012. There are 4 lacquers in this collection. I only got 2 of them and today I am sharing Preamp. This is a pink base with bright pink micro glitter but in the bottle the micro glitter looks gold. I am not a big fan of pink but I just had to get this one!

I really like this one. I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it dried quickly. Back to School was never my favorite time of year but it would have been nice to have a nail polish collection to make it better. Is this a good one for back to school?

I’m not a big fan of yellow lacquer but I bought this one mostly because it was called Pippa. This is a sunny yellow or a lemon yellow. Pippa is also a crème. Most yellows that I have seen have been frosts.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was ok, it was a little thick. It also took a little longer to dry. I like this one but I think I like Orly’s neon Glowstick better! Do you wear a lot of yellow or which is you favorite yellow?

See You Next Summer ~OPI

Hi Everyone,

See You Next Summer is an OPI/Ulta exclusive. When I looked at the lacquers at Ulta they looked like dupes of other lacquers from different collections. I don’t like when they do that! It is supposed to be a dupe of Not Like The Movies. See You Next Summer is a olive base duo-chrome that can look green, silver , or purple.

Skinny Dip ~ Orly ~ Blue Monday

Hi Everyone,

It’s Blue Monday again! Today I have another polish from the Feel The Vibe collection. To me Skinny Dip is a bright blue with a little shimmer. I don’t consider it a neon and that’s ok because I still like it!

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it dried quickly. It dries to almost a matte. It only gets shiny when you put on the top coat. What do you think, is this a neon?

If You Moust You Moust and Nothin’ Mousie Bout It ~ OPI

Hi All,

These are the last 2 from OPI’s Vintage Minnie Collection. If You Moust You Moust  is a very pretty and cheerful pink crème. Nothin’ Mousie Bout It is a very very light pink jelly with lots of shiney pink and purple microglitter and very pale pink hearts that are almost sheer.

I am wearing 2 coats of If You Moust You Moust and 2 coats of Nothin’ Mousie Bout It. I really like both of these even though I am not a big pink fan. My only complaint is that I wish instead of hearts they would have made it with Mickey ears or maybe even Minnie bows. I really loved all the glitter! I liked the whole collection of Vintage Minnie, which one(s) did you like?

Seriously Purple ~ OPI Outrageous Neons~ Fiasco

Hi,

I was so excited to hear that OPI was going to put out neon lacquers that I could hardly wait to get them even though they are minis. I never buy minis because it seems that you use them once and they are gone. Plus this set was $19.99. Well, I have had these a couple of weeks and I did apply Seriously Purple right away but I haven’t shared it until now. I was debating on whether or not to share it because I had a really bad experience with it.

 The directions say apply one coat of the white base, 2 coats of the neon lacquer, and 1 coat of top coat. Well, that is what I did and it was so streaky that I added a 3^rd coat of neon and then top coat. It looked terrible so I took it off and re-polished and by the 3^rd coat it was the same as before so I kept adding until I had 5 coats not including top coat and it was still bad, it doesn't even look neon! Sorry about the clean up on my nails but I didn’t want to waste my time when I knew it was coming right off. I have not tried any of the other colors because I am so disappointed with the purple. What do you think about this? Has this happened to you before?
