Lincoln Park After Dark Matte ~OPI

Hi Everyone,
Yes OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark Matte from the untrieds! Why haven’t I worn this yet since it’s from 2009? I don’t know. I guess it just got lost in the shuffle.
Let me start off by saying that I didn’t apply the matte right. I didn’t even figure out what I did wrong  until I looked at the pictures. I put base coat on! Oops!
Take a look:

I am wearing 1 coat of base and 2 coats of lacquer. When I was applying it, it dried really quickly. I think it’s shiny because I used the base coat and that changes the matte. It also looks eggplant in the bottle but its almost black on. The tips also looked worn almost instantly. I think maybe I will try this again. Have you worn matte, and what was your experience?

  1. I have this shade in the suede version. I don't use a base but it chips fast. It's still a color I reach for every Fall/Winter. I read that if you use a top coat In between the two coats of color it will last longer. This is definitely a color worth trying again. That's weird yours turned shiny.

    1. Maybe its getting old or maybe it was my base coat that made it shiny?

  2. Hmm, not a lot of experience with matte polishes here so I don't really have any tips lol. I do love this color! It's almost black, but still has a really nice dark purple color to it!
