Black Knight ~ Butter London

Hi!
I was so excited when I saw Butter London’s Black Knight I just had to have it. It is a black base with black, pink, blue, and silver glitter in it.
Take A Look:

I am wearing 3 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was alright, it was a little thick. Although I like this lacquer I am a little disappointed. I thought it would have a lot more shimmer and shine from all the glitter that is in it. Another thing I didn’t like was that it chipped the first day. It happens a lot when I wear this brand. Is it my base coat? Do you have any tips you can share?

Skylar ~ Zoya ~ Blue Monday

Hey Everyone!
It’s Blue Monday! Today I have Zoya’s Skylar; it’s a dusty blue with silver and gold shimmer flecks. I really like it!
Here it is:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was great and it dried quickly. It is such a calming color and would be a good alternative for those who have to wear toned down polish at work. What is your go to polish if you have to be toned down or conservative?

Kimber ~ Zoya

Happy Friday!
Today I have Kimber from Zoya. Zoya calls Kimber a magenta. I see Kimber as an orangey/pink or what I would call a coral with gold shimmer. I really like it for a pink and there aren’t many pinks I like.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was good and it dried quickly. I like it but now I think it is looking more orange. What would you say it is orange, pink, or coral?

Dita ~ Zoya

Hi,
I have Zoya’s Dita today and I have to say I’m not that impressed with it! I think it looks so much better in the bottle than on me! Dita is described by Zoya as a soft yet saturated purple-toned medium berry-red crème. Huh?! I see a muted pink.

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was nice and smooth and it dried quickly. The more I wore it the more I disliked it. I don’t even know why. I was going to try to do some type nail art on it but I just had to take it off. Have you had any lacquers that looked better in the bottle than on your nails?

Purple Punch ~ Jordana

Happy Friday!
I have another one from my new favorite Jordana. Purple Punch is so pretty that I think it may make it on my top 10 for 2012! It’s an iridescent purple shimmer.
Here it is:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was great and it dried pretty fast. I have to say that Jordana is the best $2 polish I have come across. What your favorite budget polish?

Lincoln Park After Dark Matte ~OPI

Hi Everyone,
Yes OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark Matte from the untrieds! Why haven’t I worn this yet since it’s from 2009? I don’t know. I guess it just got lost in the shuffle.
Let me start off by saying that I didn’t apply the matte right. I didn’t even figure out what I did wrong  until I looked at the pictures. I put base coat on! Oops!
Take a look:

I am wearing 1 coat of base and 2 coats of lacquer. When I was applying it, it dried really quickly. I think it’s shiny because I used the base coat and that changes the matte. It also looks eggplant in the bottle but its almost black on. The tips also looked worn almost instantly. I think maybe I will try this again. Have you worn matte, and what was your experience?

Boy Oh Boy ~ Jordana ~ Blue Monday!

Hi!
Sorry for the late Blue Monday post, it has been hectic. This is the first time I have worn/tried the Jordana brand. I have to say I am impressed! I even like the name of it; Boy Oh Boy. It reminds me of Mickey Mouse because he always says oh boy! Boy Oh Boy is a bright turquoise crème. I really like it!
Here It Is:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. It went on nicely but it took just a tad bit longer to dry than others. I do have to say this lacquer didn’t chip after wearing it for 5 days it was great especially for the price of $2.00. Have you worn Jordana?

Hustle ~ Disco Brites~ La Girl

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for not posting. I had a rough week, I had to say goodbye to my fur baby. It was so very hard, I could not focus all week.

Today I have a La Girl Disco Brites lacquer that also glows under a black light called Hustle. It must be named after the 70's dance the hustle (does anyone know how to do the hustle?). Hustle is a bright violet purple creme. I don't own a black light to show you how it would look and the person I could borrow one from took it to burning man, go figure! Oh well, it is lovely even without the blacklight!
Take a look:

I am wearing 2 coats and 1 coat of top coat. The formula was really good and it dried quickly. It has such a great shine and isn't too brite. I think this would be good for maybe Halloween? I really like high gloss shine, do you?

This is dedicated to my sweet Quincy. We love you and miss you! We wish you didn't have to go so soon. You will always have a place in our hearts.
